Jane has been inspiring communities in Buckinghamshire and Berkshire with her exceptional fitness and dance expertise since 1991, following a successful professional career in Theatre and Television.

She leads dance development for a large school sports partnership spanning 26 primary schools in Berkshire. Among her accomplishments, Jane created and continues to direct the highly successful Primary Dance Festival, engaging over 800 students. She is a sought-after trainer for INSET sessions and teacher development in dance education.

A recognized fitness professional, Jane specialises in Pilates and Yoga as well as exercise for all ages with a particular interest in over 50’s. She enjoys writing dance lesson plans and articles, mentoring aspiring teachers, and witnessing their growth.

At the heart of our company are our incredible teachers: enthusiastic, skilled professionals who excel in their disciplines and inspire their students. Each team member is qualified, UK Safeguarding-certified, and DRB-checked. Together, we deliver thriving dance clubs in local schools, curriculum-based dance programs, and bespoke dance and fitness projects tailored to individual needs.

Believing health and fitness encompass more than the physical, Jane treasures her time outside work gardening, running, traveling, and cherishing moments with her wonderful family and friends.

Meet the Team

  • Jane Douglass

    Jane Douglass

    Jane has always strived to continue learning throughout her career and to be able to encourage her students and colleagues to do the same.  

    She most enjoys teaching creative choreography, pilates and Yoga, as well as writing and delivering education lesson plans.  She has recently had her first article published in Animated  Magazine.

    Amy

    Amy has a range of qualifications & experience from dance to personal training to journalism.

    Her favourite styles to teach are lyrical commercial and musical theatre (anything she can bring a bit of character to!) She loves helping her students to express themselves through dance and hopes to inspire them to create their own dances.

    Claire

    Claire trained at the Royal Ballet School

    Classical Choreography & contemporary are her main subjects but she is also skilled in tap and modern too. She  devised the syllabus at JDFD for Project Dance and currently teaches the Adult Ballet classes. She is much in demand as an ISTD Ballet & modern teacher at local dance schools, with her own business Dance Focused.

    Jacqui

    Jacqui is the glue that holds us all together.  There is nothing she does not know about running a successful dance show and her administration skills enable a smooth ship at JDFD
